New FNN Site Launches

Hello! It’s finally here, the new FNN site is up and running. You will find this new site to be faster, less cumbersome and a little more fun since you can customize it with your own photos.

Everyone must set up a user profile when you go to the home page the first time. The home page will say “Registration Required” and in the top right hand corner is the button to register.

Here are a few things to keep in mind about the site:

  • It’s always hard to learn something new. Give it a little time, click around and see how it feels before deciding if you like it or not.
  • This is an interactive site and it helps if you think of the front page as more of a “blog.”  Anyone can post comments or ask questions about an existing blog post. However, original blog posts will have to be created by an admin. Please send blog posts to Molly White.
  • Blog posts now have categories and archives. So you will be able to look up past posts easily. Give it a try.
  • Try the search function. It works very well and it should help you find everything you need.

Below are step by step instructions on how to register on the new site.  As always, if you have questions, comments or concerns, please contact Molly White m.white@finleyusa.com.

  • Click register at the top right of your screen. You will need to use your FinleyUSA email address.
  • Fill out your account information and submit. Once you hit submit, you will receive an email with an activation link.
  • Go into your Finley email and activate your account by clicking the link that was sent to you.
  • Once you click this email link, it will take you back to the site where you can login.
  • You can now customize your page.
  • If you ever need to change your password, you can do so by clicking your name in the top right corner of the home screen. Then click settings, then general. (See below)
  • In the top right hand corner, click on your name.
  • This will open your profile settings in the middle of your screen. You can change you profile photo here and also set a  cover photo to take place of the blue background behind your profile photo and name.
  • Click either option and you will be given an option to upload your photo file.
  • Note that if you need to crop your photo, resize your photo with the tool it gives you, then select crop again. If you don’t do this, your photo will not be cropped. Also, please make sure your photo is smaller than 1M.

  • From here you now have your profile set up and you can explore the site.
  • If you need to get back to the home page, click intranet home on the left nav bar. This is under your profile photo as seen below.

Please let me know if you have questions or need help setting up your profile. Once you become more familiar with the site, there are other options you can start to use such as groups, tracking your activity, commenting on blog posts, favorites, etc. Also look for tips and tricks in the monthly Finley Newsletter.

Enjoy the new site!
