Mobile App Forecast Calls for $79 Billion Revenues by 2020

Global mobile app revenues will more than double over the next five years, according to a mobile app forecast from Ovum Research. Revenues for 2020 will reach $79 billion – up from $36 billion in 2015, according to the mobile app forecast.


Social TV Survey: As Many as 77 Million May be Participating

Nearly three in ten U.S. Internet users (29%) have used social media to vote, post, share or comment on TV content, according to the fourth edition of Ring Digital’s Social TV Index Tracking Survey. That suggests as many as 77 million TV viewers could be engaging in Social TV activity, up 63 million, or 4.4%, from a year ago, researchers said. 


FCC Commissioner's Connecting Communities Tour is Broadband Focused

FCC Commissioner Mignon L. Clyburn is setting out on a Connecting Communities tour, with plans to sound out people’s opinions regarding how to broaden access to affordable, robust communications services to all Americans. The full name of the tour is “Connecting Communities: Bridging the Communications and Opportunities Divide Tour.”


Healthcare IoT Revenue Forecast: $130 Billion by 2021
Healthcare is shaping up to be an important area for the Internet of Things, according to a new healthcare IoT revenue forecast from Allied Market Research. The AMR forecast calls for the IoT healthcare sector to grow at a 12.5% CAGR from 2015-2021 and to reach $136.8 billion in revenue by 2021.
