8K TV Forecast: 500K This Year, Installed Base of 56 Million by 2025
8K TVs are neither a bust nor an unqualified success, according to an 8K TV forecast from Strategy Analytics. The firm found that these devices – which offer four times the resolution of 4K televisions – will be in 56 million homes by the end of 2025. The United States will have the most, with 8% of homes having the sets.

The CBRS Alliance supports the development, commercialization and adoption of OnGo LTE and 5G platforms for Citizens Broadband Radio Service in the 3.5 GHz spectrum. The releases are part of the preparation for OnGo.

Global 5G smartphone shipments will reach 5 million units this year, representing less than 1% of smartphone shipments, according to a report from Strategy Analytics. That will change over the next few years, however, as researchers’ 5G smartphone forecast calls for annual sales of one billion devices by 2025.
Smart Speaker Ownership Forecast Sees Them in Half of U.S. Homes by 2020
More than half of U.S. homes will have smart speakers by the end of next year, according to a new smart speaker ownership forecast from Strategy Analytics. The U.S. will be the first country to reach this level of smart speaker ownership, but other countries will follow, the research firm said.
