Newest 5G Speed Record? Nokia Achieves 4.7 Gbps Using EN-DC

Nokia says that it has achieved 5G data speeds of 4.7 Gbps, which it says is the fastest over-the air (OTA) speed yet transmitted. The testing, which was conducted in Dallas, used 800 MHz of commercial millimeter wave spectrum and dual connectivity (EN-DC) functionality.

Rural Development Opportunities Fund Timeline Released

On June 9th, the FCC will vote on the final procedures for the $16 billion Phase I Rural Digital Opportunity Fund auction (Auction 904). Bidding in Auction 904 is scheduled to begin on October 29, 2020. The draft auction procedures strike a balance between building sustainable networks that will meet the needs of the future while maximizing the number of locations that receive service.
