Smart Home Protocol Z-Wave Adds Long Range Specification

The Z-Wave Alliance has unveiled the new Z-Wave Long Range (Z-Wave LR) specification, which is designed to extend wireless range beyond the interior boundaries of the home and “support robust networks,” according to the alliance.

Global Business Equipment Revenue Rises 6%, DSL Ports Sees Solid Growth

Worldwide revenue for providers of broadband access equipment grew to $3.3 billion in the second quarter of the year, according to a new global broadband equipment revenue report from Dell’Oro Group. The figure represented a 6% increase over the second quarter of 2019.
