FCC List Names Equipment Providers Other Than Huawei as a National Security Threat

Certain communications equipment and services from Huawei Technologies Co., ZTE Corp., Hytera Communications Corp., Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. and Dahua Technology Co. are now on a list of products that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has determined to be a national security threat.

Samsung Combines 4G and 5G to Hit 5.23 Gbps Wireless Speeds

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. said last week it achieved a 5.23 Gbps data speed on a single device by combining 40MHz of 4G frequency and 800MHz of 5G frequency in mmWave. The demonstration in Samsung’s Korean lab used E-UTRAN New Radio Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) technology, which enables mobile operators to leverage a 4G network to increase 5G speeds.
